Director, Sales (Based at Bandung, Indonesia)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the long-term sales strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and global growth objectives
- Drive market expansion by identifying new opportunities, strengthening positioning with OEM, brand, and distributor clients, and entering untapped segments
- Lead high-impact business growth initiatives that secure strategic accounts, strengthen competitive market positioning, and build executive-level client relationships to establish long-term partnerships
- Implement advanced sales methodologies, tools, and processes to improve customer engagement, strengthen partnerships, and increase conversion rates
- Partner with regional leadership to influence product development, service offerings, and material innovation in line with market priorities
- Build and develop a high-performing sales organisation, ensuring the right structure, capabilities, and culture to deliver current and future growth
- Represent the company at senior-level industry events and client engagements to enhance brand credibility and strengthen market presence
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to adapt strategies for sustained market leadership
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and actionable market insights to guide regional and global decision-making
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Textile Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a senior management/director role in the footwear or related materials industry in Indonesia
- Proven track record in business development, key account management, and achieving sales targets
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and client relationship management
- Strong technical knowledge of footwear materials such as midsoles, textiles, or adhesives
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills; experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is an advantage
- Proficiency in both Bahasa indonesia and English is mandatory. Additional proficiency in Chinese is advantageous, aligning with business requirement
