Relationship Manager (Sales) - Metals, Mining & Energy

This includes renewables, energy transition, metals and carbon emissions for the energy, and infrastructure sectors. AME has a flat management structure and encourages wide engagement across the firm.

Our multidisciplinary team of engineers, economists, scientists, financial experts, and programmers produces world-class, independent research. We focus on the technical intricacies of on-site engineering and market analysis. Our analysis and research platforms are utilised by governments, NGOs, fund managers, primary producers, and the financial sector to drive technological change, plan greenfield projects, and develop low‑carbon plant expansions.

What We Do

Expand research capabilities in renewables, battery metals, transition commodities, and emerging energy sectors such as hydrogen.

Analyse individual projects—including solar farms, mines, and infrastructure operations—to provide economic and planning insights.

Develop industry and plant engineering models and catalogue carbon emission data using technical papers, production data, financial metrics, surveys, and site visits.

Our 2025 Focus

This year, we are prioritising South East Asia, particularly Indonesia. We are establishing a regional hub in Jakarta and are keen to collaborate with local professionals.

About the Role

We are seeking mining professionals with strong research and communication skills, as well as a logical, problem‑solving approach, to join our commercial team.

At AME, you will have the opportunity to develop your commercial expertise, gain a deep understanding of large‑scale, complex projects, and collaborate with international partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain proactive and consistent communication to strengthen client relationships.
  • Manage outreach and efficiently handle inbound support requests.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations on our research platform.
  • Organise and facilitate regular client meetings.
  • Utilise the CRM system to manage client information and track activities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends in mining, metals, and the energy transition sectors.
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline. Mining and/or any engineering background is preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience ideally within professional services or market intelligence.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience using CRM systems.
  • Experience in client research, prospecting and lead generation.

  • Demonstrated experience of supporting and managing clients & KPIs.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
