A leading food company in Indonesia is seeking a Regional Sales Manager with over 5 years of FMCG experience. The role involves managing national accounts, negotiating listings, and leading a sales team. Candidates should have strong analytical and communication skills, with a preference for those familiar with the food or moms & baby categories. The position requires extensive travel across Indonesia and a proven track record in key account management.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager in an FMCG company with a successful track record working with distributors, NKA (National Key Accounts), and MTI (Modern Trade Indonesia); experience in food or moms & baby categories is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team at the supervisor level.
Experienced in planning, preparing, and managing sales budgets.
Proven ability to manage and lead sales teams.
Strong analytical skills in sales data, trade terms, and cost ratio reporting.
Extensive experience in key account management and building strong relationships with major retailers and distributors in Indonesia.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly mobile and willing to travel extensively throughout Indonesia.
Responsibilities:
Manage national-level accounts across all modern trade and general trade channels.
Negotiate and secure product listings, visibility programs, and trade terms at head office level.
Develop distribution areas and improve product accessibility across Indonesia.
Collaborate, manage, monitor, and evaluate key account performance.
Plan, prepare, and manage the sales budget.
Develop and implement promotional calendars and in-store execution strategies to drive sales performance.
Monitor and analyze performance by account, channel, and region to recommend corrective actions or growth opportunities.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure effective implementation of national programs at the store level.
Maintain strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders (consumers, stores, distributors, stockists, etc.).
Maintain accounts receivable (AR) levels according to company standards.
Plan and coordinate accurate sales stock forecasting in collaboration with the PPIC team.
Track competitor activities in national accounts, minimarkets, and the local modern trade landscape, providing timely insights to management.
Ensure compliance with trade agreements and evaluate promotion ROI.
