Job description

We are a British-owned company specializing in toy manufacturing across Asia, and we are seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager based in Indonesia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire production planning process to ensure that production schedules align with global demand forecasts and that products are delivered on time. This position requires close collaboration with the Country Manager, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize resource allocation, maintain inventory levels, and improve production efficiency while meeting quality standards.

Working time: Monday to Friday

Location: Subang, with occasional travel required

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Country Manager to ensure production plans align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with suppliers, production teams, and the logistics department to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Liaise with the design and procurement teams to ensure raw materials and components are available on time.
  • Communicate with the global supply chain and logistics teams to coordinate product deliveries.
  • Develop and implement production schedules based on global demand forecasts and sales projections.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure they are being followed and adjust plans as needed to address delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources (labor, materials, and equipment) to ensure production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Work closely with procurement to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring materials are available without overstocking.
  • Monitor inventory levels for both raw materials and finished goods to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory while ensuring production continuity.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly.
  • Ensure that production plans are aligned with global sales and distribution requirements.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods through the production process.
  • Communicate regularly with the Country Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on production priorities and goals.
  • Identify potential risks to the production schedule, such as delays in raw material delivery or equipment breakdowns, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor production performance and resolve any issues that may impact production timelines.
  • Prepare regular reports on production progress, performance metrics, and any issues impacting production timelines.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Requirements
