Job summary

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Procurement Staff to join our team in Batam, Riau Islands. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and supplies to support our manufacturing operations.

What you’ll be doing

Work with the PMC department to develop purchasing plans.

Pay attention to technical specifications, quality requirements, and material flow processes. Ensure that purchased materials meet technical requirements.

Responsible for material procurement, process tracking, and warehousing.

Responsible for the quality of purchased materials, purchasing materials to ensure normal production.

Responsible for material cost control.

Responsible for negotiating and drafting contracts to secure agreements that benefit the company.

Responsible for evaluating and improving suppliers to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Assist the finance department in implementing supplier payment plans.

Participate in various company training and assessments.

Coordinate with suppliers for quality control department inspections of non-conforming products for processing, analysis, and timely correction and prevention.

Collaborate with the technical centers to resolve various material samples.

Complete work on time as directed by the department head.

What we’re looking for

Education: Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1), preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade.

Work experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing or supply chain, preferably with experience in the manufacturing industry.

Language skills: Proficient in English and Indonesian for daily communication and document management; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.

Computer skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word; preference given to those who can use ERP systems.

Communication skills: Strong negotiation skills, logical thinking, and ability to work under pressure.

Work ethics: Honest, responsible, proactive in work, and able to work in a team.

Additional requirements: Understanding of the local market, knowledge of import processes, or experience working in a foreign company is a plus.
