Process Engineer /Continuous Improvement Engineer
Your Role: Monitor and optimize the company's operational processes and systems, including analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
- Support day to day operations in the production environment and work with other staff to identify, select, prioritize and execute process improvement projects.
- Provide general troubleshooting, engineering, maintenance, equipment and daily process assistance to our manufacturing line.
- Continually improve & optimize current products through variation reduction.
- Investigate manufacturing problems and consult with production teams, analyze the supporting data, recommend corrective actions, and follow through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Create, refine, educate and implement standard work.
- Use Lean Six Sigma to eliminate waste, improve material flow, and streamline processes.
- Assist and improve the controls, equipment, and maintenance practices used to run the operations.
- Lead capital projects related to equipment installations, modifications, or upgrades.
- Support new product development and product design within technical teams.
- Conduct regular systems audits and generate reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in operations engineering or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in a related industry (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, software).
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methods.
- Experience with automation technologies.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of systems engineering.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards.
- Strong multi‑tasking, problem solving, decision analysis, and situation appraisal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to connect and influence at all levels of the plant.
- Six Sigma exposure/experience; Green Belt / Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Mechanical competency with controls, instrumentation, PLC (Programmable Logic Controls) knowledge.
