The Opportunity:

Are you someone who brings clear communication, balanced judgment, and practical solutions to complex people matters? Do you enjoy a role that blends strategic planning with hands‑on people operations across multiple countries? If so, you could be a perfect fit for the People Experience Manager, SEA role supporting our Southeast Asia region at TeamLiquid.

In this position, you will act as the key HR partner for teams across Southeast Asia, overseeing people practices, employee relations, and regional HR operations across Indonesia and the Philippines. You will work closely with managers and regional management teams to guide people processes, maintain compliance, and contribute to a consistent and effective employee experience across the region.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • People Partnering & Guidance
    • Serve as the HR partner for SEA regional management, advising on workforce planning, organizational structure, and talent‑related actions.
    • Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters (performance processes, workplace reviews, conflict resolution).
    • Coach managers to build consistency and capability in people practices.
  • HR Operations & Compliance
    • Oversee employment contracts, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS accuracy, and payroll inputs.
    • Ensure adherence to Indonesian labor law, wage regulations, health and safety requirements, and required submissions to the Labor Office.
    • Maintain and update regional HR policies and handbooks in alignment with global standards.
  • Talent Acquisition & Development
    • Partner with hiring managers on recruitment for key roles, from job scoping to offer.
    • Coordinate comprehensive onboarding experiences that help new hires understand the role, expectations, and ways of working.
    • Identify skill needs and coordinate development initiatives with global L&D and Talent Centers of Excellence (COEs).
  • Employee Experience & Engagement
    • Manage engagement survey rollouts and follow‑up planning for the region, focusing on retention indicators and approaches that strengthen the employee experience.
    • Coordinate region‑specific programs and events (e.g., Ramadan gatherings, Independence Day, Huddles, Year‑End gatherings).
    • Work with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) partners to maintain an environment aligned with company values.
  • Projects & Regional Initiatives
    • Oversee regional execution of global people initiatives (e.g., HRIS rollouts, engagement platforms, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs).
    • Provide recurring people‑related data and insights to regional management teams.
    • Work with Group Services and global People & Culture partners to maintain alignment across regions.
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage the Office Attendant and provide dotted‑line guidance to the TA Coordinator.
    • Set goals, provide feedback, and maintain delivery standards.
    • Support team growth and capability building.
  • Facilities & Workplace Operations
    • Oversee the facilities team and office attendants to maintain a safe and well‑functioning workplace.
    • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers (e.g., cleaning, housing, office equipment).
    • Coordinate meeting room usage and weekend access to ensure smooth operations.
    • Work with Group Services on office programs and cultural moments.
What You’ll Need:
  • 8+ years of HR/People experience, including time in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor law and working knowledge of Philippine labor requirements.
  • Experience handling employee relations with fairness and discretion.
  • Background in HR operations (HRIS, contracts, payroll inputs, compliance).
  • Experience contributing to organizational structure, workforce planning, and talent processes.
  • Experience managing engagement and retention programs.
  • Experience with onboarding, training, or development programs.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment across multiple locations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business, or Organizational Psychology.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English; comfortable working across cultures.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage operational tasks while contributing to broader priorities.
