Job summary

A leading coal mining company in East Kalimantan is seeking an experienced Network Specialist to enhance network infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, a minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, and familiarity with the mining industry. You will participate in network installations, monitor traffic issues, and support network-related activities. This is an on-site position at the mine site in Paser, East Kalimantan.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in network infrastructure operations, architecture design, and delivery processes, provide overall infrastructure & network architecture thought leadership to develop technical design specifications
• Participate in initial planning and installation of new networks/network components; maintenance and upgrades to the physical network infrastructure
• Assist network engineers in the design and implementation of new infrastructure, and participate in the implementation of changes to the environment
• Participate in the planning of the growth, maintenance, security, compliance, and troubleshooting of the systems
• Plan and develop new hardware and services to allow the ICT department to serve the growing needs of Kideco enterprise.
• Support all network-related activities, including investigation of network issues
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, review the delivery of current services, and assess ways to improve efficiency
• Monitor network traffic to identify failures or to spot potential performance or bottleneck issues
• Liaise with the organization’s Information Security Management to help establish network security
• Assist in establishing convergent platforms for voice and data communications, with a strong focus on overall TCO and Return on Investment (ROI)
