Role Description

The MEP Superintendent will oversee and manage day-to-day MEP construction activities on site, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. You will coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure high-quality installation aligned with Data Center standards. This role is critical in leading field execution, maintaining quality, and ensuring timely project delivery.

Job Description
  • Supervise daily MEP construction activities (Mechanical/HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection).
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure work is executed according to schedule, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Review shop drawings, method statements, and installation plans before execution.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of MEP works within project timelines.
  • Conduct site walks to check installation quality, workmanship, and compliance with project standards.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and provide guidance to site teams as needed.
  • Ensure proper integration between Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems to avoid clashes or rework.
  • Verify that materials and equipment delivered to site comply with project specifications.
  • Support inspections with QC teams and ensure proper documentation (RFI, ITP, NCR, etc.).
  • Coordinate closely with the Construction Manager, MEP Engineers, and other disciplines.
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures and ensure safe work practices on site.
  • Support testing & commissioning activities to ensure system readiness.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management.
  • Assist in punch list preparation and closing during handover stage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience supervising MEP construction work, preferably in Data Center or large-scale building projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, power distribution, ELV, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required to communicate effectively.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi-discipline site activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP installation standards, construction sequencing, and best practices.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC processes, inspections, and testing & commissioning procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly to site issues.
  • Good communication and leadership skills to coordinate with site teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with basic project reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong awareness of construction safety practices and compliance requirements.
