The role of Logistics Manager is not limited to the one aspect instead the person is responsible for ensuring that the supply chain is efficient and effective throughout the organization. The person should organize, store and monitor the distribution of goods to ensure items and resources are shipped to their appropriate destinations.
The person must have ability to work independently and can handle multiple projects and assist Head of Logistics as and when business need arises.
Responsibilities
- Strong Knowledge in Shipping, Import, Export and Customs Clearance
- Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, Freight Forwarders, 3PL and other service providers.
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
- Arrange warehouse, campaign goods, plan routes and process shipments.
- Resolve any arising problems in the functioning of department.
- Supervise, coach and train subordinates.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance of 3PL and implement improvements
- Comply with company SOPs and follow the advised guidelines.
- Responsible for the review, verification, and reconciliation of shipping documents
- Support with developing and preparing complex databases, reports, and/or presentation material for the Logistics & Supply Chain department.
- Responsible for entering data into spreadsheets from multiple sources, as well as verifying input and calculations
- Provide support in the maintenance of electronic filing system for administrative documentation that guarantees swift retrieval of requested documents.
- Offering support & coordinate with the other department heads of the company.
Qualifications
- Must have an experience of managing a team.
- Technical skills must know SAP (MM & WMS) module.
- Hands-on in Excel and PPT.
- Fluent in written & spoken English and if knows regional language (Bahasa Indonesia) is an advantage.
- Must have at least 8-10 years of solid background in Logistics & supply chain, preferably from fashion retail.
- Must have an experience of managing 3PL.
- Must have an experience of managing E- Commerce, Market place and Last Mile.
