Overview

Laboratory Manager (Non-Clinical Research – Primate Study) role focused on leading non-clinical research activities using primate models, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance, study planning, execution, and coordination with research partners.

Team Introduction

You will be part of the Non-Clinical Research Team, a specialized R&D function responsible for planning, managing, and executing animal-based studies (including primate research) to support pharmaceutical development.

This team works closely with:

  • Internal global R&D teams
  • Researchers and veterinarians at IPB laboratories
  • Cross-functional stakeholders to ensure research quality, compliance, and scientific integrity
Your Role in this Journey

As a Study Director / Laboratory Manager, you will lead and oversee non-clinical research activities using primate models. This role is responsible for study planning, execution, coordination with research partners, and ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and manage non-clinical research studies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as the main point of contact between Daewoong Pharmaceutical Indonesia and IPB Primate Research Center
  • Oversee laboratory operations, study execution, and resource allocation
  • Ensure all research activities comply with ethical guidelines, animal welfare regulations, and internal SOPs
  • Review, manage, and validate study data, reports, and documentation
  • Supervise and guide technicians and supporting research staff
  • Prepare and support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and research quality
Required Qualifications
  • Licensed Veterinarian
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in non-clinical research or animal-based studies
  • Experience in managing research studies and laboratory operations
  • Strong understanding of animal research ethics and compliance
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with primate research models
  • Previous experience as Study Director, Laboratory Manager, or equivalent role
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or research institute environments
  • Knowledge of GLP or international non-clinical research standards is an advantage
