Hotel General Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Cluster General Manager to lead Soori Bali and Soori Penang, providing strategic, commercial, and operational leadership across both ultra-luxury properties. The role will be based in Bali, with regular travel and oversight responsibilities in Penang.

We are also open to a top-performing Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) in the ultra-luxury segment who is ready to step up into a Cluster General Manager role. The ideal candidate will combine strong operational command with proven business development capability, deep luxury market connections, and the leadership presence to elevate both resorts’ global positioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and direction across Soori Bali and Soori Penang, ensuring consistent delivery of ultra-luxury service and guest experience.
  • Oversee day-to-day resort operations through strong on-property leadership and effective management team development.
  • Develop and implement sales and revenue strategies across both properties to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with luxury travel agents, operators, and high-value clientele globally.
  • Work closely with ownership to align vision, financial objectives, brand standards, and long-term strategy.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to ownership on performance, market opportunities, and operational priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire department heads and senior management teams to drive excellence and accountability.
  • Drive brand visibility through collaborations with luxury brands, media, and select influencers.
  • Strengthen direct bookings through digital performance initiatives including SEO, targeted campaigns, and channel optimisation.
  • Ensure service culture, guest privacy, and discretion remain central to operations at both properties.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, either as a General Manager or a high-performing DOSM ready to step up.
  • Proven success in the ultra-luxury market, with established global networks in high-end travel and hospitality.
  • Strong background in resort operations and commercial leadership, with hands-on capability to drive performance and guest excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-property or multi-department teams, with strong people leadership skills.
  • Commercially astute, strategic, and results-oriented with a refined service mindset.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between Bali and Penang.
