Job summary

Position Summary

The general role for the Field Technician is to ensure the proper execution of field work and coordination of the field activities.


Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities


  • Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports

  • Discuss equipment and tools requirements including auxiliaries, AGM's, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares, toolbox and all other required tools for use in the field, etc.

  • Study and analyze project information document, operation manuals, pigging procedures and other project-related documents

  • Establish professional contact with client’s field personnel creating friendly working relations

  • Execute field work in a safe, effective and efficient manner in accordance with PIPECARE QA/QC procedures and in line with time, resource and financial planning

  • Coordinate field activities between PIPECARE team, subcontractor, client and other involved parties

  • Perform ILI runs successfully without data loss as per POF & API standards

  • Conduct sufficient cleaning runs to the established PIPECARE cleaning criteria

  • Conduct site survey and DGPs Survey in line with PIPECARE procedures and operational requirement

  • Execute all other tasks as requested by Team Leader within the assigned job role.

Skills/Experience


  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant)

  • Experience in Oil and Gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure

  • Computer skills in Microsoft word, excel and outlook at an intermediate level

  • Fluency in English, the language of the Territory is an advantage

  • Ability to travel extensively
