About Our Opportunities

Sonder is inviting Expressions of Interest from Mental Health Nurses to join our team within our Northern Adelaide programs. With new opportunities emerging in 2026, we are looking for applicants who are interested in supporting:

  • Family Mental Health
  • Adult Mental Health
  • Alcohol and Other Drug Support

We welcome applicants with a variety of availability. Whether you want to work part-time, full-time, or something in between, we can support a schedule that works for you!

Locations

Range of locations in the Northern Adelaide Region.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in mental health, including conducting psychosocial and risk assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT).
  • Experience building strong, engaging relationships with clients, families, carers, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and working in fast-paced clinical environments.
  • Experience administering and interpreting psychometric tests, maintaining electronic records, and applying organisational policies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health frameworks, National Standards for Mental Health Services, and health promotion principles.
Qualification And Other Requirements

Sonder programs require professionals with a range of qualifications. Please see below a list of qualifications you may require (note: not every Sonder role will require you to have all of these):

  • Registered Nurse
  • Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
  • Registered Nurse with Credentialed Mental Health Nurse status through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
  • Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • AHPRA Registration
