EXPORT IMPORT SPECIALIST / ASSISTANT MANAGER

Reporting to the Operations Manager in Indonesia, you will be responsible for the importation processes for the company’s operations in Indonesia. You will work closely with our international team to ensure excellent quality standards are adhered to the candidate will have to be equipped with strong knowledge, understanding and experience of production.

Company Background

Founded in 1983, Felton Malaysia is a leading wholesaler of plastic products (household and furniture) in Malaysia

Our primary customer base includes selling to major retail players and mom-and-pop stores from the general trade market

1,500+ products across 6 major plastic categories are designed and developed by an in-house R&D team

Expansion of plastic product sales into ASEAN market (Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand)

Our goal is to become Asia’s most renowned plastic brand. We aim to expand the plastic product offerings towards ASEAN countries and to innovate new concepts at the highest quality

We plan to set up business operation in Indonesia and be a leading player in the wholesale plastic market

Production process of the Indonesian entity will be through sourcing plastic raw materials from suppliers and outsourcing production to manufacturers

Key Responsibilities

Manage end to end import process, including documentation, custom clearance, transportation, and delivery goods

Collaborate with external parties e.g. customs agent, freight forwarder and exporter to ensure smooth import operations

Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and resolve any delays or issue that may arise

Maintain accurate import records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements (LS Surveyor, PIB Document, etc)

Stay update with changes in import regulation, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for cost savings

Ensure compliance with local requirements e.g. product license, marking label, duty & other certifications

Examine various document such as costing file, invoice & other related shipping documents

Sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with freight forwarder, logistic provider & importer to constantly strive for the most competitive price and good service level

Support Operations Manager in related operational activities

Key Requirements

Minimum Bachelor degree in any major with 2-year experience in Export Import/ Procurement/ Purchasing

Expert in import & export process and regulations

Having good relationship with customs, quarantine, forwarders & PPJK

Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office Suite

Detail oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

A team player with great communication and interpersonal skills, but able to work independently

Fluent in English (both oral and written). Chinese language is a plus.

Comfortable and able to adapt in dynamic environments
