The Business Relations Manager is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with industry stakeholders, key buyers, associations, government bodies, and strategic partners. The role supports the commercial growth of exhibitions by strengthening industry engagement, understanding buyers’ needs, and ensuring key sectors are well‑represented at each event. This position sits at the intersection of business development, industry networking, and client relationship management.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key buyers and stakeholders.
• Understand buyers’ needs, challenges, and objectives — ensuring their attendance delivers clear ROI.
• Conduct buyers’ meetings, consultations, and follow‑ups before, during, and after the show.
• Build strong, long‑term relationships with industry leaders, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and government agencies.
• Represent the exhibition brand to stakeholders and position the event as a strategic platform for industry development.
• Identify sector‑specific trends, emerging players, and opportunities for new partnerships.
• Work closely with the sales team to identify potential exhibitors and sponsors within priority sectors.
• Provide industry insights, lead recommendations, and support proposal development.
• Participate in client pitches and presentations to secure new business.
• Structure and negotiate partnership agreements with associations, institutions, and industry groups.
• Ensure partners contribute effectively to content, promotion, and audience outreach.
• Maintain ongoing engagement to deepen collaboration for future editions.
• Coordinate with conference/content teams to shape agendas, secure speakers, and involve industry experts.
• Ensure event programs align with industry needs and enhance show credibility.
• Host VIPs, buyers, sponsors, and stakeholders during the event.
• Manage business matching activities, networking sessions, and VIP tours when required.
• Address buyers’ concerns quickly and professionally during show days.
• Gather and analyze market intelligence on competitor events, industry developments, and exhibitor feedback.
• Deliver insights and strategic recommendations to improve future editions.
