Engineering Supervisor

Role Summary

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for implementing and executing a comprehensive maintenance program in the utility area — including preventive, planned, corrective, and predictive maintenance — while ensuring strict adherence to safety and GMP standards. The role also plays a key part in driving a culture of continuous improvement and digitalization within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement preventive, planned, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs in compliance with GMP and safety standards.
  • Supervise and perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting during equipment breakdowns.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on machine performance indicators (OEE, MTTR, MTBF).
  • Ensure proper management and organization of spare parts and engineering inventory.
  • Lead and propose technical improvement projects to support efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee the maintenance of utilities and plant facilities
  • Familiar with utility/facility equipment (Boiler, Air compressor, HVAC, Water Treatment Plant, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Cooling tower, Chiller water, Powerhouse, Electric Distribution (high and low voltage), Fire Suppression System, Etc.)
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and digitalization across the maintenance team.
  • Guide and develop technician competencies in both technical and soft skills.
  • Collaborate with regional/global SMEs and manage key stakeholders to align on best practices and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in utility and facilities within a pharma manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and tools (preventive, corrective, predictive maintenance)
  • Proven leadership in managing technical teams.
  • Familiarity with equipment performance metrics (OEE, MTTR, MTBF).
  • Understanding of GMP, safety standards, and compliance in regulated environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance of utilities and plant facilities
  • Exposure to digital tools and systems (e.g., CMMS, IoT monitoring systems).
  • Track record of initiating or leading improvement projects.
  • Experience working with global teams or in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to coach and mentor technicians effectively.
