We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team focused on delivering innovative product features across a cloud-based platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and product vision, guiding your team to build scalable, high-quality solutions that directly impact users and business outcomes. You will collaborate with stakeholders, define priorities, and ensure engineering best practices are followed while fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement. This position emphasizes the adoption of AI-assisted development workflows, observability, and data-driven decision-making to optimize performance and user experience. You will coach engineers to grow technically and strategically, driving both team and product excellence in a fully remote, distributed environment.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers delivering AI-powered product features, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD).
• Plan and execute technical design reviews, backlog prioritization, and Scrum rituals for rapid iteration and long-term scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex product challenges into actionable engineering solutions, owning delivery from concept to deployment.
• Monitor service performance using observability tools, define SLOs, conduct root-cause analysis, and optimize infrastructure costs.
• Mentor engineers on technical skills, product thinking, and AI-assisted workflows to improve developer experience and team productivity.
• Foster continuous learning through code reviews, cross-training, and documentation to reduce knowledge silos and build resilience.
• Drive operational efficiency, enforce engineering standards, and implement process improvements to enhance product quality.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience leading teams of 5+ engineers in remote, agile environments.
• 5-10 years of full-stack development experience with modern cloud-native applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Kafka, React, and GraphQL.
• Experience with observability and APM tools (e.g., NewRelic, Datadog, Sentry) to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code) and improving developer workflows.
• Prior experience in SaaS product development and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and delivering impactful outcomes.
• Preference for candidates based in EMEA with remote work flexibility.
