Smailing is the top leader for corporate travel market serving MNCs, SOEs, and SMEs with an intelligent, unified platform.

We’re seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our leadership team and bring this platform to life.

What You’ll Build

As CTO, you will architect and lead the development of our Corporate Booking Tools/platform and Smailing's Corporate IT infrastructure.

• Technology Vision & Roadmap: Define the technical architecture and stack aligned with business growth
• Team Leadership: Hire, inspire, and grow an agile tech team
• Integration Ecosystem and its Scalability
• Security & Compliance: Ensure end-to-end platform resilience and regional regulatory readiness
• Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with CEO and Directors for partnerships, etc

Technical Experience:

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in senior technical leadership (Head of Engineering, VP Eng, or CTO)
• Proven success launching and scaling platforms (ideally SaaS, marketplaces, or Super Apps)
• Deep understanding of scalable backend architecture: Node.js / Java, Kubernetes, microservices
• Experience with data infrastructure (Snowflake/BigQuery), ML workflows, and API integrations
• Cloud-native thinking (AWS, GCP preferred) and strong DevSecOps mindset

Strategic & Soft Skills:

• Entrepreneurial builder with product instinct and obsession for user experience
• High EQ and communication skills—able to lead teams and influence stakeholders
• Track record working in or building for Southeast Asia is a huge plus
• Background in procurement systems, travel tech, or fintech is a plus
