Job description
Overview

We’re proud to share that we’re building a new venture: Medestra, a healthcare-focused training and workforce development company. Medestra was created with one clear mission — to transform Indonesian healthcare standards and open global career opportunities for Indonesian nurses.

Medestra is a healthcare-focused training and workforce development company, founded with the vision of bridging the gap between Indonesia’s growing pool of healthcare professionals and the rising international demand for skilled nurses.

We have two core offerings: Hospital Training Solutions in Indonesia and Nurse Mobility & International Pathways, which together aim to elevate patient-centered care, strengthen service excellence, and create global career opportunities for Indonesian nurses.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Executive (Junior) with strong networks in the Indonesian healthcare sector. This role is ideal for someone with initiative, passion for healthcare, and the ability to open doors with hospitals, nursing schools, and international partners. You will play a crucial role in expanding Medestra’s reach by building relationships, identifying opportunities, and supporting collaborations both in Indonesia and overseas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Development & Partnerships: Identify and canvas Indonesian hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions for training programs. Research and analyze market trends in healthcare training and international nurse deployment. Approach and pitch Medestra’s offerings to hospital leadership and HR/Training departments. Build partnerships with overseas hospitals, nursing institutions, and training providers seeking Indonesian nurses.
  • Client Engagement & Sales: Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to client needs. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals, universities, and regulators. Support negotiations and partnership agreements with both local and overseas partners.
  • Generalist / Startup Support: Support marketing activities, including social media, brochures, and events to promote Medestra. Assist in program coordination — liaising between trainers, institutions, and students. Help develop databases and CRM to track clients, prospects, and nurse candidates. Contribute to reporting and documentation, including business performance tracking. Be a “go-to” person for ad hoc operational needs typical in a growing startup (e.g., event logistics, meeting coordination).
Why Join Medestra?
  • Be part of a mission-driven company shaping the future of Indonesian healthcare.
  • Opportunity to work on both local impact projects (hospital training) and international partnerships (nurse mobility).
  • Exposure to global collaborations and professional growth in healthcare business development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in healthcare management, business, or related field).
  • 1–3 years’ experience in business development, healthcare sales, or partnerships.
  • Existing network in Indonesian healthcare industry (hospitals, training institutions, nursing schools) is a must.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (Bahasa Indonesia & English).
  • Willingness to travel domestically for client meetings.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a startup environment.
