Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas
Job Descriptions:
1. Account Management & Client Relationship
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Oil & Gas key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers at client organizations.
- Understand client business strategies, project pipelines, and operational challenges.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution.
2. Commercial & Contract Management
- Manage commercial agreements, rate cards, and long-term contracts in coordination with legal, commercial teams and insurance requirements.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, scope of services, and commercial terms in line with company guidelines.
- Monitor contract performance, ensuring compliance with agreed KPIs, SLAs, and HSSE requirements.
- Identify risks and opportunities within existing contracts and recommend mitigation or improvement actions.
- Manage the SOA to the Client and highlight if the SOA already reaches Company’s credit limit.
3. Business Development & Growth
- Identify new business opportunities (upselling, cross-selling, contract extensions).
- Track upcoming tenders, RFQs, and project opportunities.
- Coordinate proposal preparation, costing, and bid submission with internal teams.
- Support strategic planning for account growth and long-term revenue sustainability.
4. Internal Coordination & Project Support
- Coordinate closely with Operations (Offshore, Project and Logistics), Finance, and QHSE teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Communicate client expectations clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor ongoing projects and escalates issues proactively to prevent service disruption.
- Support project kick‑off meetings, progress reviews, and close‑out sessions.
5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare regular account performance reports (revenue, margins, pipeline, risks).
- Track forecast vs. actual revenue for assigned accounts.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor insights, and client feedback to management.
Qualifications:
- Preferred to hold a degree in a business or marketing related subject.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Building rapport, establishing relationships, and working well within a team.
- A focus on understanding customer needs and providing appropriate solutions.
- Can manage tasks, prioritize leads, and meet sales targets in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must have minimum 10 years’ experience working within the offshore, oilfield sales or business development.
- Experience in engaging commercially with O&G industry players previously is a must for this role.
- Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, MS Project.
