Job description

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our Telco Financial Ecosystem team in Jakarta. In this role, you will leverage advanced statistical analysis and predictive modelling to uncover actionable insights, drive product optimization, and inform business strategy. You will be responsible for building models from diverse data sources and collaborating with key business stakeholders to translate data into tangible business outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct Advanced Analysis: Perform descriptive and diagnostic statistical analysis to uncover trends, measure business performance, and generate actionable insights. This includes hypothesis testing and deep-dive analysis to understand customer behaviour and product performance.
  • Design and Build Predictive Models: Design, build, and implement probabilistic and machine learning models (e.g., propensity and affinity models) to optimize product strategies and drive business outcomes across our financial and telco services.
  • Prepare Data for Modelling: Systematically gather, clean, and integrate data from various sources, including our internal systems and partner platforms. Focus on feature engineering and data transformation to ensure datasets are ready for analysis and model development.
  • Work with data engineering teams to implement scalable data pipelines and ensure data accessibility for analysis and model building.
  • Translate Insights into Strategy: Collaborate closely with business leaders and product teams to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Present key insights to stakeholders to influence data‑informed decisions and shape business strategy.
  • Model Productionization: Deploy models into a production environment. Optimize models and pipelines for processing speed and cost efficiency to handle massive datasets effectively.
  • Model Monitoring and Management: Monitor the performance of deployed models and retrain or update them as needed to ensure accuracy and relevance.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, and statistical modelling.
  • Strong experience with GCP, Google Vertex AI, and Python for building and implementing data science models.
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry (lending is preferred).
  • Proven experience with marketing use cases, such as customer segmentation, propensity modelling, and customer lifetime value analysis.
  • Proven, hands‑on experience in designing, building, and deploying data science models in a corporate or tech environment.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and deploying models in production environments.
