Overview

Job Description

You will have direct reports with GPS and disciplinary responsibilities. You should provide leadership and direction for Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity and Cost Reduction objectives within an assigned area of the facility while meeting internal and external customer needs. With general guidance from functional management, you will provide team leadership to a customer-focused group committed to increased quality and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Development & Management: Train and develop staff; ensure annual goals are set and communicated; maintain Global Performance Management System; provide regular feedback; monitor and adjust training; attract, retain, and develop high-potential talent; model and promote ethics and values; manage staff performance, promotions, terminations, and scheduling; maintain timekeeping, overtime, and vacation records.
  • Operations: Directly supervise site employees; manage schedules, capacity, and resource utilization; design and implement operations improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, training, inventory, and services; analyze daily needs and provide prompt problem solving; monitor key operational measures; supervise warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, loading/unloading, picking, packing, and palletizing; determine space requirements and coordinate delivery and distribution; analyze inventory to identify slow-moving or surplus stock.
  • Quality and Process Improvement: Maintain quality control processes; lead process improvements; drive improvements in all key metrics (service, quality, productivity, cost, safety); ensure standard operating procedures are followed through audits; lead 5S, housekeeping, and recycling programs; promote a safety-conscious environment and participate in safety initiatives and meetings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other functional areas to resolve problems and improve manufacturing processes; reduce waste and process complexity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree (mechanical/electrical/industrial production preferred)
  • 5+ years of operational experience with team leadership experience preferred
  • Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data for daily operational needs and improvements
  • Skilled in scheduling, planning, budgeting and control; knowledge of systems
  • Experience designing and implementing operation improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, training, inventory and services
  • Strong ability to manage, coach and develop a diverse team
  • Experience leading continuous improvement efforts; familiarity with ELS Operating Principles
  • Strong customer focus, communication, planning and coordination skills
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions and take action
  • Experience in Offset/Digital packaging industry is a plus
