Job summary

A logistics company in Jakarta is seeking an Assistant Manager for Sea Freight Document & Traffic, responsible for managing international consignments and ensuring compliance with customs. The ideal candidate has a relevant degree and proven experience in international logistics, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. This fulltime role requires proactive customer service and efficient project management. Working hours are Monday to Saturday.

Assistant Manager - Sea Freight Document & Traffic (Import – Export)

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in management, logistics, supply chain or equivalent experience in the industry.

Proven experience in international logistics

Experience handling top companies and confidently engaging with various management levels.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent communicators with proven team motivation and management abilities.

Demonstrated moderate-level project management experience, preferably in a multinational professional services environment.

Monday to Saturday and based in Jakarta

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for planning and arranging international consignments according to client instructions and requirements for air, ocean and road freight
  • Arrange shipments as per-customer instructions following customer SOP/Quotation.
  • Complete customs entries in accordance with compliance
  • Book all shipments to the carier (seafreight and/or airfeight)
  • Support customers with costing and invoicing.
  • Oversee shipment status, identify and ensure resolution of active shipment incidents.
  • Act as internal & customer facing front end to all operational process on active shipment
  • Checking and monitoring the paperwork for every shipment of the customers
  • Assists with overseeing the entry processing performance and existing customer service commitments to reflect established company databases and pre-load templates to reflect these procedures.
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service by proactively informing clients of the status of their shipments using judgment and knowledge, referring more technical questions to the team leader or licensed broker for response.
  • Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected and ocean documents are received within time standard specified.
