We are hiring an Area Manager Rig Operations for a leading drilling contractor in the oil & gas sector. This role is ideal for someone with strong rig experience either an experienced Rig Manager or a Rig Supervisor ready to step into a bigger leadership role.

You'll be responsible for overseeing multiple rig operations in the field, making sure everything runs safely, smoothly, and in line with client expectations. Its a hands-on, field-focused role with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, safety, and people leadership.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage multiple rig sites within your assigned area.
• Ensure all rig operations meet safety standards, performance targets, and client expectations.
• Supervise Rig Managers and crew; guide them to maintain high operational discipline.
• Monitor and troubleshoot rig performance and equipment maintenance.
• Enforce HSE procedures and conduct regular field assessments.
• Build strong relationships with clients and field stakeholders.
• Report daily operations and utilize systems (including Sunfish) for data monitoring.
• Support manpower planning, crew development, and team morale.
• Help manage area budgets and resources efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• At least 6 years of experience in oil & gas drilling, with strong rig exposure.
• Prior experience as a Rig Manager or Senior Rig Supervisor preferred.
• IADC or IWCF certification required.
• Excellent leadership and field coordination skills.
• Familiar with rig systems, tools, and computer-based reporting (Sunfish is a plus).
• Committed to safety, team development, and operational excellence.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
