A community health provider Trust is seeking a passionate leader to enhance mental health services for Armed Forces veterans in Cornwall. This role includes providing clinical leadership, ensuring high-quality care, and implementing governance standards for veterans' mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will possess enhanced clinical skills and leadership experience, while also being dedicated to improving mental health outcomes. This position is exclusive to current NHS employees in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly, making it a unique opportunity for dedicated individuals within the organization.
We are seeking a passionate leader to champion the lived experience of Armed Forces veterans across Cornwall. In this county-wide role, you will provide clinical leadership and ensure services deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for veterans experiencing mental health challenges.

The post holder will lead and support the team in assessing new patients, including risk assessment, care planning, and directing referrals to the most appropriate pathway or urgent care when needed. They will implement clinical governance and risk management, act as shift leader within CPE, and provide expert clinical leadership, supervision, and training to ensure consistent, high-quality mental health care in community settings. Working closely with operational leads and multidisciplinary teams, the Clinical Lead will embed trauma-informed and reablement principles, manage complex assessments, and apply holistic approaches to health and social needs. Responsibilities include signposting to statutory and non-statutory services, advising on legal frameworks, and developing effective care pathways.
