Job Description

We are currently recruiting an outstanding Distribution Centre Manager to join and strengthen our experienced senior management team. As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will have the autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day management of your depot.

Additionally, you will be accountable for:

• Achieving all depot objectives related to health & safety, security, productivity, transport, and costs
• Delivering outstanding service to our customers with a motivated team
• Providing the safest and healthiest working environment for your teams
• Encouraging a competitive environment with clear productivity and service level targets
• Managing the depot through P&L, effective planning, and reporting

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• Experience in the logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with a daily throughput of 25,000+ and a workforce exceeding 250 employees
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence strategy and liaise with directors
• Decisive and effective decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment
• A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
• Resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility in problem-solving
• Alignment with DPD's core values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability
• Availability to work any 5 shifts, including weekends, as our depots operate 365 days a year
• A full UK driving license is essential
