Job summary

A recruitment specialist is looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative in Westhoughton. This role involves re-palletising stock, repacking products, and maintaining quality standards in a busy warehouse environment. Offering a temporary ongoing contract, with hours from 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, and a pay rate of £12.21 per hour.

Warehouse Operative

We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join our client’s expanding team at their busy warehouse facility in Westhoughton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work, takes pride in meeting high standards, and thrives in a supportive and fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Re‑palletising stock: Moving goods from European pallets onto UK‑standard pallets to meet warehouse and distribution requirements.
  • Repacking products: Breaking down bulk packs of toilet rolls and repacking them into smaller, retail‑ready boxes with accurate quantities and secure packaging.
  • Quality control: Checking products and packaging to ensure they meet company and retailer quality standards.
  • Maintaining warehouse standards: Keeping workstations clean, organised, and hazard‑free to support a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous warehouse or packing experience is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
  • Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Teamwork: Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical capability: Comfortable with manual handling and standing for long periods.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to safe working practices.
