Job Advert: Graphic Designer

Working alongside our specialist PR team, you will use technical expertise and divergent thinking to create impactful visuals for use across a range of print and platforms that resonate with our client base of tech-focussed businesses. You will work across our full portfolio of clients, using your experience of idea generation and creative problem solving to deliver an inspiring suite of work. In addition, you will work on internal design projects, producing creative business materials for use across our team.

This is a lead creative design role within the agency so you will be autonomous and proactive in shaping the role to ensure its continued success.

Things you will be responsible for (non-exhaustive):

  • Design / layout for long-form and short-form collateral

Work with the PR teams to design e-books, whitepapers, presentations, case studies, flyers and one-pagers, as required. Support may range from ideating professional and creative layouts to creating visuals and diagrams that compliment the content. Ensuring all collateral aligns with client brand guidelines and communicates complex ideas clearly for B2B audiences.

  • Visuals for digital assets

Create website assets, banners and landing page visuals that enhance user experience and support campaign goals. Create graphics for social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube) optimising content for the appropriate platform. Adapt content for email campaigns and newsletters.

  • Infographics & data visualization:

Translate data and complex tech concepts into engaging visual formats.

  • Motion graphics & video editing (desirable) :

Develop animations and short explainer videos to support digital campaigns, website content and thought leadership. Proficient in using Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar tools.

  • Client focus

Work closely with the PR client services team (including our Leadership team/senior strategic thinkers), confidently advising them to how best align design with the client’s business objectives. Look for opportunities to add value to clients through additional services by analysing the scope and objectives of creative briefs.

  • Project management

Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality control. Take responsibility for keeping account teams up to date, ensuring that everyone is well informed on planning and action status at all times. Maintain an eye on all design request deadlines, manage up and down and keep activity moving and the team informed of activity status / changes.

  • People & team

Build and maintain close working relationships with all client account teams through regular, professional, friendly and responsive / timely communication and good visibility. Be a trusted and reliable point of contact for daily communications with multiple client account teams.

  • Industry trends

Stay updated on design trends, explore emerging technologies, and best practices/sources of inspiration, particularly those relevant to the B2B marketing/communications and technology space.

What we’re looking for from you…

  • Previous Graphic Designer work experience, preferably in an agency environment.
  • A self -starter who is proactive in suggesting ideas, tools, processes and approaches to ensure the highest quality of deliverables to our clients.
  • Up to date knowledge of and experience in using the full Adobe Creative suite, including Photoshop, In-Design, and Illustrator, and proficiency in Canva.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and passionate about visual consistency.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, approachable and friendly, collaborates well with people at all levels within the agency.
  • Adaptable and able to work on own initiative as well as being a team player.
  • Skilled in flexing / adapting workload to prioritise and meet specified and changing deadlines (with senior support).
  • Thinks tenaciously about how design drives emotional connection.
  • Curious to understand the drivers / the ‘why’ behind tasks and keen to seek out knowledge / build mastery in your role.
  • On rare occasions, be willing to work flexibly outside of core hours to fulfil exceptional client requirements (UK and overseas clients).
  • Comfortable working within Microsoft 365 environments (Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
