Job summary
A well-established commercial finance provider in London is seeking an experienced Underwriter/deal structurer to join their asset based lending team. The role involves structuring credit applications, conducting financial analysis, and negotiating lending transactions. - Act as a conduit between teams to structure credit applications.
- Conduct collateral assessment and financial forecasting.
- Negotiate and structure complex lending transactions.
Skills
Our client, a well-established, growing commercial finance provider, seeks an experienced underwriting and deal structuring professional to join their asset based lending team in the South East.
- Act as a conduit between the new business team and the credit committee, structuring and completing acceptable credit applications in line with the company’s credit policy.
- Carry out collateral assessment, financial forecasting, and in-depth analysis of complex financial accounts.
- Collaborate with the business development team and risk teams to negotiate and structure complex lending transactions and ensure effective processes are in place.
- Prepare accurate legal documentation, negotiating with internal and external legal teams.
- Operate with a lending mandate and oversee other technical areas of credit and risk.
- Previous underwriting experience in a similar lending environment.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to support your view.
- Occasional travel around the country.
