Senior Casualty Underwriter

We are working closely with a global Insurance Company who are known for delivering innovation underwriting solutions. After many years of successful trading there is a need to source a Senior New Business Casualty Underwriter which can be based out of their offices in either Birmingham or Manchester .

As a Casualty Underwriter you will :
  • Be responsible for working on some of the largest and most complex new business opportunities to provide excellent propositions to market
  • Work with a small panel of key brokers to identify and track opportunity by buildings a dynamic pipeline of risks that fit underwriting appetite
  • Work closely with Risk Control and Distribution to have a thorough understanding of the risks and gain commitment from partner brokers to work to convert opportunities.
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues to develop not only their technical knowledge but their soft skills and confidence to trade.
As a Casualty Underwriter you will have :
  • Detailed knowledge of Casualty Underwriting and excellent t echnical expertise and negotiation skills.
  • Strong track record of new business trading in the local market.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions effectively.
As a Casualty Underwriter you will get :
