Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. £36,353 - £38,267 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

We are looking for an experienced Trade Operative – Joiner to join our void team based in Aberdeen. You will work on properties across the region in both new and old stock, ideally with skills in some of the following disciplines: Joinery, plastering, plumbing, tiling and painting. Working as part of a six person team to bring voids to a re lettable standard. The role will occasionally involve lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required. With a company van and tools included the role will cover sites across the area.

will include:

• Carrying out all types of repairs from replacing a door to lifting and replacing floors, fitting kitchen units and fitting doors and windows
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in core subject. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

• Role salary is £33,049 with an additional policy allowance of £3,304 per annum (rising to £34,788 with an additional policy allowance of £3,478 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
