Job description
What Youll Do :
  • Perform counterpart block trade bookings in a timely manner; mainly listed commodities options with some CME rates / index / FX trades too.
  • Work closely with commodities traders to understand Optivers trading workflows and ensure smooth post trade process with direct counterparts including trade confirms and account settlement.
  • Onboard new trading counterparties for both direct trading and broker relationships. This involves thorough client due diligence (KYC AML) via collection and processing.
  • Acting as primary point of contact during the onboarding phase interfacing with internal sales legal compliance and technology teams to ensure smooth process. Also interacting with external relationships to ensure they fulfill their side.
  • Reporting and tracking progress of all onboarding plus trade reporting issues.
  • Develop fluency with existing internal systems exchange booking interfaces and procedures with an aim to proactively improve them;
  • Identify opportunities to intelligently automate while maintaining firm human control;
  • Work in tandem with back office engineering to ensure the health and stability of the processes and systems.
  • Identify solve and implement solutions to problems that block the expansion of our business. Involves working with trading sales corporate strategy and dev teams.
  • Become expert in salesforce to help run data on the sales business and overseeing the onboarding process that goes through it.
Who You Are :
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a trade support / trading or sales desk assistant / middle office / onboarding position or within onboarding function within financial markets.
  • Experience working within commodities and / or OTC FX. Knowledge of OTC FXPB 4-way agreements is desirable.
  • Ability to automate and improve processes by learning and applying technical tools such as Excel VBA Python or SQL is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with traders directly in a fast paced environment;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate;
  • Competitive attitude and eagerness to constantly improve. Ability to proactively identify both technical and operational deficiencies;
  • Experience working with commodities and / or Options products is an advantage
  • Ability to learn rules and regulations governing US futures exchanges and OTC FX trading across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks that govern onboarding and trading relationships.
