Job summary
A well-established organization in the scientific manufacturing sector seeks a warehouse operator in Lancaster, offering a structured environment focused on safety and quality. The role involves picking, packing, and labeling shipments, ensuring accuracy, and supporting process efficiency. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 Standard Grades, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate in English. The position is temporary for 12 months, with a salary of £12.65 per hour and a 40-hour work week.
Qualifications
- Basic numerical skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to technical processes.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and label UK and export shipments accurately.
- Prepare, collate, and load shipments, ensuring all paperwork is completed.
- Operate trained equipment and systems, reporting defects and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain stock of consumables and comply with all security, safety, environmental, and quality policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
