Due to the continued success of the business both in established and new marketplaces, HCI Systems are looking to recruit a Wiring Harness Technician to join the team and further assist the company in its growth plans. The wiring harness technician role will be expected to build wiring harnesses on a day-to-day basis.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with at least three years in a technical environment, ideally within motorsport or automotive. You’ve completed an apprenticeship or hold a BTEC National Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent) and are qualified, or willing to work towards, IPC‑A‑620 and IPC‑A‑610. You’re skilled in using System 25 materials, contra‑helical lay‑ups, automated crimping press tools, and high‑voltage cable preparation. You have experience building complex wiring harnesses to customer designs, can read drawings, and create bills of materials for prototype builds. With a strong customer and quality focus, you communicate well with both internal and external teams, work flexibly to meet deadlines, and follow Health, Safety and Environmental policies. Proactive and resilient, you overcome obstacles, work collaboratively, and bring a hands‑on, can‑do attitude to deliver excellent results.
