We have an exciting opportunity to deliver and develop education and training to a range of students wishing to develop knowledge, understanding and transferable skills relating to Procurement. You will contribute to the curriculum planning and activity for the CIPS programme at Levels 3 and 4, with the possibility of developing additional short courses to ensure innovative, quality provision.

As part of a team you will plan, deliver and assess on the CIPS programme including higher apprenticeship courses, in line with Awarding Body and college requirements. You will also play a key role in helping to build a new programme, including the development of high-quality resources.

Ideally you will have an understanding of the professional apprenticeship standards and governance, or be prepared to develop this area of knowledge. Knowledge of the associated funding system and apprenticeship standards is an advantage.

You will be required to provide a supportive and professional environment that will aid the development of individuals and groups of students. You will be expected to be organised with excellent time management and administrative skills as well as being able to work positively with awarding bodies and institutions. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and show a flexible and professional attitude.

You will hold an appropriate professional qualification (i.e. MCIPS, Professional Diploma Qualification Level 6) or significant experience in the Procurement sector. Possession of a relevant teaching qualification and experience of teaching will also be an advantage. You will be a role model for college students and will work to professional standards.

1. Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plan, deliver and assess on the CIPS programme including higher apprenticeship courses, in line with Awarding Body and college requirements.
2. To provide excellent learning experiences for learners within the department.
3. Provide high-quality internal verification of assessment decisions across Administration, Customer Service and related programmes.
4. Support assessors to maintain and develop best practice in assessment.
5. Ensure compliance with awarding organisation and college requirements.
6. Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the department.
7. Plan, conduct and record sampling of assessment decisions.
8. Provide constructive feedback and support to assessors to promote consistency and rigour.
9. Organise and lead standardisation meetings to ensure assessment practice meets required standards.
10. Monitor and report on assessment quality, highlighting areas for improvement.
11. Keep updated with developments in Apprenticeships, assessment practice and IQA requirements.
12. Ensure all assessment and IQA activity meets ESFA, college and awarding body compliance.
13. Deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment for assigned learners, ensuring timely achievement.
14. Contribute to departmental quality assurance, audits, inspections and self-assessment processes.
15. Support the development of high-quality learning and assessment resources where appropriate.
16. Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to enhance provision.
17. Maintain confidentiality and integrity in line with college policies
18. Take ownership of professional development to remain current in assessment and IQA practice.
19. Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
