• Deliver Commercial Management Services for individual projects.
• Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
• Provide assistance to the Senior QS, supporting all commercial issues within the Project(s).

• Encourage and develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team.
• Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance.
• Delegate appropriate work to junior staff while maintaining accountability.

• Prepare internal commercial reporting and other required reports.
• Prepare valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract.
• Prepare Cost Reports to the Client with contract‑compliant supporting documentation.
• Prepare and manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
• Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts from detailed requisitions to payment authorisation and final account agreements.
• Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
• Challenge & manage cost control / cost mitigation.
• Maintain correct site records.
• Implement a WBS structure to satisfy Client & Contract requirements.
• Assist with preparing the Cost to Complete and Risk analysis Register for the project(s).
• Prepare change events, extension of time claims, final accounts, etc.
• Measure quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement.
• Ensure appropriate Client Management is initiated and maintained.
• Help maximise the cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production & improvement plans.
• Maintain & assist in the production of the margin improvement plan on the project.
• Undertake any other work as required by your line manager.

• Attend client engagement events for equivalent level customer feedback.
• Participate in Business Improvement Initiatives.

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics.
• On route to being a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
• Full UK or Irish driving licence.
• Relevant competency skills cards.

• Construction experience (desirable).
• Commercially astute with excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
• Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Good communication skills, including presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade.
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering and Steel Structures.
• Experience in estimating and takeoffs (desirable).
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Personal ownership of your development.
• Team working skills.

• Full UK or Irish driving licence required due to project locations.
• Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable; no sponsorship will be provided.
• May be required to work away from your home location within the UK/Ireland during the 2‑year programme.
