Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR, a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets across six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offers challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

We are looking to recruit a Software Tester for a 6-month contract, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role

To be a key contributor in development and testing of web-based systems in support of multiple Business Units throughout KBR globally. The successful candidate should possess experience in testing web-based applications, as well as a demonstrated ability to create detailed test specifications and test plans. The candidate will develop functional test cases and scenarios by working with business stakeholders, developers, and the project manager.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test scripts to test functionality and performance of product components developed in-house
• Define and report meaningful test metrics to support decision-making by the project manager and to meet product acceptance criteria
• Provide complex technical expertise to engineering management in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs
• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced test personnel

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems
• Expertise in ad hoc database queries using SQL or SQL tools like Toad, etc.
• Experience testing web interfaces, data-load interfaces, and reports
• Strong communication and technical writing skills to produce formal test specifications and plans
• Analytical, problem-solving, time management, and task prioritization skills
• Strong presentation skills for presenting test results to individuals and groups
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
