A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a Buyer to manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and improve profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This full-time position offers a salary of up to £40k depending on experience and an opportunity for immediate start.

Buyer - Full Time / Permanent | Location: Oxford (towards Kidlington) | Reports to: Head of Purchasing | Salary: up to 40k DOE
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate trading agreements
- Monitor product pricing and support promotional activity
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and expand supplier base
- Attend trade shows and pitch new product ideas
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify trends
- Lead category reviews and manage product performance
- Handle new product enquiries and range development
- Analyse data and provide actionable insights to improve results
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised and detail-oriented with analytical ability
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving environment
- Confident in challenging ideas and driving improvements
- Approachable and team-focused
- Previous experience in a purchasing or buying role
- Proven negotiation skills with suppliers
- Degree or CIPS qualification desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quick to learn new systems
