Job summary
A large logistics provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Transport Clerk / Administrator for an immediate start. This role features a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7am - 7pm), transitioning from temporary to permanent. Candidates should have solid IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and a GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English. Responsibilities include maintaining delivery systems, despatching goods, and liaising with drivers on-site procedures. Competitive salary of £24,444 PA is offered along with employee benefits.

Our client, a large distributor, is looking for a Transport Clerk / Administrator who will work a 4 on 4 off shift, 7pm to 7am. This role will be temporary to permanent. You will have solid IT and administration skills and be a reliable helping hand.
- Ensuring the systems are up to date with despatching and loading processes
- Efficiently despatch deliveries with relevant paperwork
- Use customer systems to update delivery information
- Monitor the return of equipment
- Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival to site
- Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Able to effectively use IT, including Microsoft Office - Excel and spreadsheet knowledge a must
- Methodical and can follow instruction and procedure
- Reliable
- High levels of commitment and motivation, and can use own initiative
