Job description

Are you a HGV Class 1 Day Night Driver looking for ongoing regular work in Tamworth? Just finished a seasonal Christmas contract but want a 12 month per year job? Want to work with one of the UK's leading car parts and accessories distributor? Long term opportunities are available with opportunities of full‑time contracts after a period of service. Night shifts are available Sunday to Thursday and Monday to Friday.

This role will involve:

• Car Parts deliveries to stores and dealerships where you will be unloading cages
• Variety of different runs with different locations across England, Scotland and Wales
• Tail‑lift work, palletised unloading via pump truck with some loose loads.
• Start times from 19:00hrs to 03:00hrs working on a 46 hour working week.
• 5 days per week
• Site is based in Dordon Tamworth

Successful HGV Class 1 Drivers will:

• Have at least 12 months C+E experience.
• Hold Class 1 licence for AT LEAST 2 years.
• Have no more than 6 points for minor offenses (No DDs, DRs or CDs).
• Hold valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.

HGV Class 1 Drivers PAYE rates of pay:

• Night Rates of £19.64 per hour.
• Guaranteed 8 hours per shift.

Mandatory assessments are involved which will include:

• Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required).
• Full site and safe systems of work induction.
• Vehicle familiarisation.
• Practical driving assessment.
