Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:Bromley
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £85 – £100 per day (PAYE – No umbrella fees)

Protocol Education is currently seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in both mainstream and specialist school settings. • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, MLD, SLD).

• Support the delivery of tailored learning activities as guided by the teacher and SENCO.

• Promote emotional well-being, independence, and positive behaviour in the classroom.

• Assist with personal care where necessary and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all pupils.

• Help manage classroom behaviour using appropriate strategies.

• Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff and parents.

• Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, care, or community settings).

• Patient, flexible, and calm under pressure.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• A proactive and child-centred approach to learning.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA/SEN, Psychology, Youth Work) are a plus, but not essential.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Eligibility to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
