Pastoral / Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Hounslow

Start Date: September 2025

Secondary Academy students aged 11-16 years

This Academy is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Pastoral / Behaviour Support Assistant to join our student support team. This position is ideal for someone committed to the well-being and personal development of young people, providing effective support to students who may require social, emotional, or behavioural guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide day-to-day pastoral and behavioural support to students across all year groups
  2. Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies under the direction of pastoral leaders
  3. Build positive relationships with students and act as a trusted adult, especially for those facing barriers to learning
  4. Monitor attendance, punctuality, and uniform compliance, addressing concerns in line with school policy
  5. Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies as appropriate
  6. Assist with restorative conversations and reintegration meetings
  7. Work closely with teaching staff and Heads of Year to ensure effective communication and intervention
  8. Support safeguarding processes and maintain accurate pastoral records

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
