Job Description

Start here. Grow here.

In response to significant client demand and a strong infrastructure opportunity pipeline, the AECOM programme management advisory and delivery teams are seeking to grow across all grades.

The team is seeking suitably experienced and capable individuals to work independently or with a Director to successfully shape, develop, initiate and deliver client investment and business change programmes.
The available roles will support programme advisory and delivery commissions across the whole programme lifecycle including programme definition, delivery model and organisational design, programme readiness, maturity assessments, programme management and PMO design, leadership and implementation.

Depending on an individual’s grade, example role duties include:

  • Lead the team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets;
  • Lead or support the delivery of significant, complex programme management advisory or delivery commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups;
  • Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations;
  • Ensure a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation is applied to all commissions;
  • Demonstrate leadership in the implementation of AECOM health, safety and environment requirements;
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and members of cross-functional teams to support successful delivery;
  • Identify and act upon business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the team;
  • Lead and support the development of proposals through the entire bid process;
  • Ensure all direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their own career journeys; and
  • Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies.

If you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Join our team, where we don't just construct infrastructure but also uplift communities and enhance lives.

  • Client engagement: Skilled in building and maintaining senior-level client relationships, managing live programmes and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Commercial and business development: Track record in winning and retaining clients, cross-selling services, and ensuring delivery aligns with commercial requirements and organisational standards.
  • Line management: Experience managing and developing teams within a consultancy environment, including mentoring junior PMO and project controls staff.
  • PMO expertise: Ability to implement and oversee PMO functions, governance structures and programme controls strategies, including cost, schedule, risk, and change management.
