Job Description

Join Angstrom's dynamic Modelling & Data Engineering team as we revolutionize sports forecasting with cutting-edge analytics and low-latency predictions.

Working in the Data Science Team and reporting to the Data Science Manager, we're looking for a Data Scientist with a sharp statistical mind and strong programming skills to help us solve complex modelling problems, develop predictive products, and extract insight from rich sports data. If you're passionate about sports, stats, and building innovative models that impact real-world outcomes-this is your chance.

What you'll do:

• Analyse sports data to deliver accurate, fast, and scalable forecasts
• Build and maintain models using Python or R
• Collaborate across data science, software, and engineering teams
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to product innovation
• Communicate insights clearly through visualisations and reports

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data science, ideally in sports/betting
• Expertise in Python or R, SQL, and statistical modelling
• Strong knowledge of ML libraries like scikit-learn, xgboost, TensorFlow
• Experience with data wrangling tools (Pandas, dplyr), Git, and visualisation
• Bonus: knowledge of .NET, AWS, Kafka-or a passion for US sports
