Eden Scott is pleased to support their Renewable Energy Developer client in appointing a graduate to their Development team.

Our client is a renewable development team responsible for identifying suitable renewable energy project opportunities and undertaking the necessary grid connection, land agreements, and planning processes to develop successful projects. After the development phase, these projects will be constructed and operated long-term.

Role and Responsibilities

The role, based in Glasgow, involves supporting the development and delivery of high-quality renewable energy projects by leading individual tasks and assisting senior team members with other responsibilities.

Specifically, the role involves conducting site development activities such as initial site feasibility reviews, grid applications, engineering tasks, and managing contractors and consultants during Environmental Impact Assessments and Planning Applications to secure planning consents and optimal grid connection offers.

The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills, a strong desire to succeed, and the ability to work independently while proposing innovative solutions to challenges.

Skills and Experience

• Experience (e.g., internships, project roles) in renewable energy project development, particularly supporting solar PV, battery storage, and onshore wind projects.
• Experience in supporting projects throughout various stages of their lifecycle.
• Proficiency with technical software such as AutoCAD, GIS, PVSyst.
• A basic understanding of project financial management and economics.
• The ability to anticipate project issues and propose creative solutions.
• Skill in translating technical details into commercial impacts.
• Capability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously, with effective planning and prioritization.
