Job Description
The Role
Hedge Fund/ Asset Management Trade Support – (Graduate with 1-3 years’ Operations experience and ideally some coding such as SQL, VBA, and/or Python)
Martis Search is representing a boutique City of London-based Asset Management company that also supports Alternative Investment strategies to hire a permanent “Hedge Fund/ Asset Management Trade Support Analyst.”
The company boasts a truly entrepreneurial spirit. It is dynamic and forward-thinking, constantly launching new businesses, new funds, and new global geographical locations, while maintaining the vibe of an “investment boutique.”
The role supports existing company Funds, as well as newer UCITS Fund launches from this year and upcoming 2025 Fund launches.
Our client needs someone, ideally from an Institutional Asset Management or Hedge Fund Trade Support/Middle Office/Operations background, with sound knowledge of Equity Trade Support/Operations covering Middle Office (Trade Capture, Trade Support, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Trade Confirmation, Settlements), as well as Fund Administration (NAVs/Valuations) across Cash Equities, Fixed Income, FX, or Derivatives asset classes.
Due to the company's size, you will need to be a self-starter, capable of handling both BAU Middle Office tasks and related project management work, with support from the Senior Operations Manager (your reporting line) and the wider London Operations team. There is also the opportunity to assist with setting up new fund launches and implementing new systems and processes.
Future promotional opportunities include the potential to become an Operations Manager after proving your capabilities. Our client seeks someone with ambition, initiative, and the ability to grow within the company.
The client may also consider candidates with sell-side experience, provided they can demonstrate fit within a smaller Asset Management setup.
They are looking for a graduate with a 2:1 degree in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Economics, or Engineering, with 1-3 years of relevant Trade Support experience. Holding the IMC is highly desirable but not essential. Strong Excel skills, along with VBA, Python, SQL, or Java coding experience, are important.
Experience with industry-standard OMS such as Broadridge, Paladyne, or Enfusion is highly advantageous.
This is a highly interesting company with a great Head of Operations and an exciting Fund Management business.
The company offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work and in-office presence for flexibility.
