Service Care Solutions are currently working witha Housing Association in London to recruit a Planned Investment Building Surveyor to support the delivery of capital investment works, with a key focus on external cyclical repairs and kitchen & bathroom renewals.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality, while maintaining a strong focus on resident satisfaction and health and safety compliance. The role is site-based, and visibility will be key – you’ll be regularly inspecting contractor works, identifying risks, managing progress, and resolving customer issues.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee delivery of planned works across external and internal refurbishments (ECR, kitchens, bathrooms).
- Conduct technical surveys pre-, during, and post-works using Viewpoint and Fieldview software.
- Manage contractors, monitor works progress and maintain regular site attendance.
- Resolve resident queries and complaints efficiently, keeping a customer-focused approach.
- Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to ensure accurate cost tracking from estimate through to final account.
- Produce technical reports and ensure works align with NHG’s contract and specification standards.
- HNC / HND / Degree in Building Surveying, Construction, or related discipline OR significant hands-on experience in building/construction.
- Strong project management background, particularly with capital investment / cyclical maintenance schemes.
- Proficiency with contract administration and employer’s requirements documentation.
- Confident with IT systems including MS Office, Viewpoint, and Fieldview.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service approach.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Membership with RICS or CIOB.
- Degree in Building Surveying or Construction Management.
