A large teaching hospital in London is seeking a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist specializing in hepatobiliary imaging. You will join a dedicated team, providing high-quality care and overseeing training and research activities. Ideal candidates should have significant experience in paediatric radiology and be full members of the GMC. The salary ranges from £109,725 to £145,478 per year, excluding the London Allowance.

This is a new Consultant Paediatric Radiologist post, specifically funded by NHSE for paediatric liver services. The budget and governance will sit under Child Health, however the operational aspects of the role will sit under radiology. The appointee will join a team of 5 Paediatric Radiologists and 3 Hepatobiliary Radiologists. This role will be dedicated to paediatric radiology, however the department currently provide the majority of consultant led diagnostic and interventional imaging and Liver IR procedures in Kings, the largest paediatric liver transplant centre in the UK and Europe.
The primary responsibility of the appointee will be contribution to all aspects of paediatric hepatobiliary radiology including Ultrasound, Axial imaging, vascular access, hepatobiliary vascular and non-vascular IR including tissue biopsy and drainage procedures. Related subspecialty MDM support is essential.
The Department of Radiology (Denmark Hill Site) is looking to appoint a substantive consultant radiologist to join a friendly dynamic department committed to providing a timely high quality imaging service.
The post will be based at Denmark Hill and the proposed Job Plan (up to 8 PAs) is attached but could potentially be increased to 10 PAs. This is subject to review within 3 months of the postholder commencing in post.
The On-Call commitment will depend upon the predominant skill set of the appointee, differentiated between diagnostic verses interventional radiology training and a need to maintain and develop skills after appointment.
