Quality Inspector jobs in United States

Our client are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team Oxfordshire.

8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday 34 hours a week 30-minute lunch break

• Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Accurate and appropriate measurement of product features to determine conformance/non- conformance to
• To carry out first-off inspection for the Machine Shop, and where necessary, assist with in-process inspection.
• To produce clear, concise and presentable inspection
• Utilise metrology equipment such as our CMM, Form tracer, Surface Tester to aid the inspection process.
• Responsible for the safe storage and upkeep of Inspection department measuring instruments, and to assist with calibration when
• Complete non-conformances and concessions when necessary and maintain relevant documentation

• Proactive approach to work

• Excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of quality procedures including current ISO Standards
• Numeracy and Literacy
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
• Computer literate
• Driving licence

• Minimum 2 years experience of working within an inspection
• Ability to use standard metrology equipment in the correct application, including but not limited to: Callipers, Bore Micrometres, Height Gauge, Surface Plate, Indicators, Pin and Ball Gauges.
• Experience with creating presentable inspection reports
• CMM Operating
• Ability to read complex Engineering
• Understanding of GD&T.

• Can use SAP
• CMM Programming experience (preferably MCOSMOS)
• Form tracer / Surface tester experience
• Calibration Management experience
• Knowledge of Hydraulic Products
